Estimate Rocket API 2024 - Re Authentication

In June 2024 Estimate Rocket will be enhancing the current API.
This enhancement will allow for expanded scope permissions, new endpoints and updated swagger documentation.

After Thursday June 13 it will be CRITICAL to reconnect to Estimate Rocket in Zapier.

The API enhancement will include enhanced security options which will require that you re-authenticate your Estimate Rocket connection within your Zapier interface.

You will receive a notification from Zapier that a new authentication is needed for your Estimate Rocket zaps to run.

Reconnect Method through Apps > Other Apps

Zapier also maintains a connection section that can help with this.

If you are trying to re-authenticate MULTIPLE ER LOCATIONS we have found that using Firefox with containers is the most effective way to accomplish this properly

  • Have 1 FF container for each account you need to reconnect
  • Right click on the open tab in FF to open the new container
  • In the new container open zapier and find a SINGLE ER account that you need to reconnect and follow the steps outlined below to reconnect.
  • You will see the API login screen with the authentication screen each time if you are properly reconnecting

On the left menu of Zapier there is a link to an 'Apps' section.
This will take the user to a list of current apps and connection details.

In the Apps section there will then be a link in the list to ‘Other Apps’, this is where the Estimate Rocket connection details are stored.

Click the side arrow to the right and choose reconnect.

Notice in the Other apps section there is a listing for Estimate Rocket (1.0.0) which has a red x. The red x is an indication that there are connections in this group that need attention.
Realistically you will probably only see 1 connection and when clicking on the arrow to the right see the details about your connection(s).

In this case I see a reconnect option on this connection that will take me through the same steps the reconnect option did from above.
A single reconnection step is needed to restore all of your Estimate Rocket zaps.
