The Estimate Rocket example item template has a general material dollars item with markup that calculates customer price based on the number of dollars added to the project with a % markup on those dollars

Navigate to Settings > Item List and click on the item count on the right under to filter you item list by all items in the General group. In the item list either scan the list or search for general labor dollars.
- The general labor dollars with markup is not an assembly like the many of the other items in the template. This is a generic line item with a dollars in and dollars out component.
- The price to the customer will be the number of dollars that are entered into this line item plus a % markup.
- The benefit and use case of this item is to calculate a general markup from the dollars entered.
Change the General Material Dollars price to the customer
- The % markup can be change by changing the price of this item. In this case for every $1 added to the project $1.25 will be added to the project. Then number of cents in the price determines the % markup. Changing the price of this item will change the % markup.
There are no calculations done for labor on the work order with this type of line item.
At $1000 added to this line item will output $1250 for the customer estimate.
