Estimate Rocket can now copy line items. If you have used assemblies in the past you know that the assembly typically has multiple embedded sub-items. A full interior room will typically have 5+ substrates, the copy line item with the line item is an item template will copy all of the substrates and all of the components of each substrate. The copy process will copy and paste the item into the same group the original item is in with all the properties of the original item except the name which will have - COPY at the end of the name.
The user can then adjust the name / description / work notes / group / dimensions as needed by using the Edit Item feature to fit the project that is being estimated.
All of the item properties will be copied into the new item, such as name, description, work notes and the actual calculations.
The copied information will participate in all the calculated time and material that appear in the work orders. As always the new labor and materials will be reflected in the profit margin area of the project.
